I hated it. I love the hunger games series but this book was unbearably boring. I tried to get through it, wondering when the interesting part would happen, but it never did. With about 100 pages left i skipped to the end, only to find a lame unsatisfying ending. 0/10, couldnt finish.

MrsBabki Love the honesty! 4y

I loved this book! It went super well with the wings of fire series and it was super fun reading it from the human perspective! It opens up a brand new world for the wings of fire series, and i cant wait to see how the plot of this book mixes with the plot of the future dragon books. Cant wait for the sequel!

Cfischbuch I was wondering about if we should pick this one up for the library, I guess we should. Thanks for your review, it help make my decision easier. 5y
MrsBabki I almost want to read some fantasy. Keep working me over kid - you are starting to win! 5y

This book was pretty good, and a quick read as well. Its about 200 pages, each one full of endless action. Its more of a fast paced book, with a new thing happening almost every chapter. I loved how quick and action packed everything was, and how you develop feelings of hate for the enemies. On top of that, I have the same last name as the main characters. I need to grab the second book soon!

Cfischbuch I liked this first book too!, I wasn‘t too excited that each of the book to follow in the series had a different author. But overall an educational, world-traveling action packed mystery with the Cahill‘s. 5y

This book was AMAZING. After the almost unbearable 1st book, i got to the second, and i loved it!! It was full of adventure and action with minimal traveling scenes. On top of that, the book ended absolutely wonderfully. Im not sure what the 3rd book could even be about.

MrsBabki I loved the first book. Never read the second one. You make me want to. 5y

Loved loved loved the book concept, and i‘m telling you, the first few chapters got me hooked. But after that, it got boring. Half a book containing just walking from illinouis to california is not that interesting, even if you add death and birth and lies and marriage. Ecxited for the second book!

MrsBabki I didn‘t think I would like this book at all but I loved it. Please edit posts for grammar rules. 5y

Animals were a very important part of warfare, and this book certainly proves it. With a collection of short heroic animal stories, the author illustrates just how important animals were, and how they saved the Canadian front lines. If you like books with war or animals, then this is the book for you. The genre is non-fiction, war.

Cfischbuch Great concise summary. 5y
MissYaremcio Great review Lauren! If you like this one I have plenty of other books like it for you! 5y

MissYaremcio The comments are missing! 5y
Lauren Cahill Her friend is sent of to a faraway school, and a german student is sent into the house, raising tensions. But in the end, it all turns out. If you like books that have feeling and suspension, then this is the book for you. It can be fast paced at times, with another event around every corner, but it can also go slow with a little relaxing. Loved this book! 5y
MissYaremcio I love this book! I have just started it and can't wait to see how it goes! Thanks for the great review! 5y

Matt Cruse was born in the air. To him, the sky is home. He‘s aways felt safe aboard the airship, until now. In an alternate world where airplanes never existed, Matt goes on an adventure like none before. A hint of romance, a handful of adventure, and nothing but excitement about what‘s going to happen next. If you like books with adventure and pirates, then this is the book for you. ( continued in the comments ;)

Lauren Cahill I loved how well Kenneth expressed the tone of endless danger and adventure as we follow Matt on his journey to save his ship, and his girl. 5y
MissYaremcio Well done Lauren! Remember, tone is less about the theme of the book and more about what the author is trying to teach us/how they feel while writing it. 5y
MrsBabki Love your sentence variety in this! Wowzers! 5y

Amazing book. Got it and read it the day it came out. Obviously a must for people who are already reading the series! Can‘t wait for the 14th book.

Cfischbuch I‘ll be sure to order this for the library - we have so many fans of the series. 5y

Great book, packed with adventure and whatnot. Despite that, it‘s sort of an unnecessary add on to the rest of the series. It ended perfectly, but still a great read if you‘re into the series.
